Since the Coronas emerged last year with their stunning debut album "Heroes or Ghosts", which spent a staggering 26 weeks in the Irish charts, they have risen to the forefront of the Irish music scene, receiving rave reviews and have continued to expand their loyal following. Their hit singles "Grace, Don�t Wait!" and their now, anthemic "San Diego Song" were favourites with radio stations across the nation and their newest single "Heroes or Ghosts" is set to be no different. The download only single is set to coincide with the release of a bonus version of their acclaimed debut album which was described by HotPress as "walking a soulful line between Jeff Buckley and the Libertines". The special bonus edition DVD includes interviews with the band and live footage from the second of their two sold out shows in the Button Factory in December. With a string of sold out shows all over the country and appearances on the Late Late Show, The Podge and Rodge Show, and Other Voices this indie four-piece took the Irish music scene by storm in 2007, culminating in their nomination for a Meteor Award. With an Irish tour planned for late September, work set to begin on a new album, and tours planned for the U.S. and Japan, among others in the near future, the Coronas are set to have a busy few months ahead of them but if their rapid progress to date is anything to go by, it seems they will continue to take it in their stride.
